Family ski day - Monday, February 16,2009

Everyone was off for Presidents Day and we hit the slopes. For a family of five to go skiing takes effort and MONEY. We scoped out all the local ski resorts and decided to go to Wolf Creek up Ogden Canyon. We left our home at 7:00 to get up to the resort by 8:30. We checked Ashton into ski school and rented our equipment. Trav's sister, Tracie and her son Kamden met us up there too! Garrett and Lauren hit the slopes together while Travis and I got Ashton situated. We waved goodbye and then Travis and I hooked up with the big kids. We had a blast! The resort has 3 main lifts and basically most of the runs are green and blue. It was perfect for our family. We all skied until lunch time and then we rested our weary legs in the van and had tuna sandwiches. Ashton was so fun to watch in ski school. Of course the instructors know what works with kids "pizza" and "french fries". Ashton liked his skis like french fries because on the bunny hill he liked to go fast. When Travs took him on the real lift - Yikes - he basically wasn't ready for that and it took us over an hour to get down the hill. Ashton wanted to go back on the "moving carpet" and ski on the bunny hill the rest of the afternoon. We all took turns with Ash and then skiing on the lifts. It was a blast! The weather was great and the snow was awesome.
