Hi, This is Lauren.
My experience of Stadium of Fire was very tough. My dance teacher said it was the hardest dance in the history of Stadium of Fire!!! It was kinda weird dancing on the asphalt of the stadium. I had to sleep at My friends house but I got a really bad head-ache and I got home-sick too. So I called home just as I was about to cry. My dad answered the phone and he asked me how my day was, ( as usually) and I told him that I was feeling bad and I wanted to go home. My mom hadn't made it from girls camp yet, but was on her way. So I waited a little bit and I packed up my bags. As I was packing, Jen Dillon started to sing a little ditty. Inside me I started to laugh a little bit. It was kinda funny. I think she was trying to make me laugh. So five min. later my dad came and picked me up. Right as got home I fell right into a deep sleep. I woke up by my mom and she made me breakfast. She made me French Toast. Mom took me to the Dillon's house and we were off!!! Once we got there we saw Jacqui in the parking lot. We went inside and we saw the seniors dancing. They had to wake up @ 6:45 in the morning. We had to wake up @ 8:45 in the morning. That day our heat at the stadium was 104 degrees F. in the afternoon. I thought I was going to pass out but Jen, Jacqui, and Shannon kept me hydrated. That evening my mom came and was a food bringer. She brought Pizza. It was good. She was our hotel room's chaperone and On the 4th she was a sprayer and kept us hydrated along with the other moms. It was awesome. At 12:30 pm on the 4th they let us leave until 6:30 that night. It was the night I would perform, the 4th of July. Our family went to our little room at Days Inn. Mom had paid an extra day in the room. We swam and showered and got ready for the performance. Once we got there, Dad dropped me, Brit, ( my cousin) and my mom by the entrance of the parking lot. We walked to the line and we got in really fast. I set up and mom got me Dipping Dots. I had to wait for a long time until we went on. Finally, we started to walk out and I was so excited it felt like my heart was going to explode. We got on the field and we waited for 5 min. We started to dance and I busted it out. After the show Jenny( our dance teacher) hugged me and she told me she was so proud of me and my dancing. I felt like I was going to cry. During dance practices our dance teacher Jenny seemed so mad at all of us dancers, but she was so proud of all of us by the performance. The Blue Man group was so funny. Miley Cirus was pretty good, but I didn't know all of her new songs. I wish she had sang more of her old songs. See you Again was awesome! We got to watch with our dance studio and watch from the field. I had a great time.
Love Lauren

Lauren,
it sounds like you had a great time and did a great job dancing. I love your Blog entry, you just might have to grow up and be a writer.
Jules, I dont know how you do it, you have got to be the busiest person I know and oh, by the way, you are fighting Cancer at the same time. You are an inspiration to all of us. We sure love you.
Take Care,
Evan
Laruen,
I always had a hard time with sleepovers too! There were many nights I cried myself to sleep because a parent wouldn't let me call home. I started having my mom tell me "no" when someone asked me to spend the night. How lame was I? (*big cheesy grin*).
I'm glad you had a great time on the 4th!
Wow Lauren...you danced at the Stadium of Fire!!! That is the coolest thing EVER!!! What a fun show!
Lauren, that's SO EXCITING!!!! What an awesome experience! :)
Lauren, You have wonderful writing skills. I loved reading your blog especially the dancing part. You are such a trooper considering what your family is going through, especially an inspiration to all your firends. Just remember Ashely still brings her bear to SLC when she comes to visit and still sleeps over with Aunt Jack. I love you so much.
